Our dearly beloved Beth, deeply missed and always remembered

Elizabeth Goce Otero, 50, returned to the loving embrace of the Lord on the 9th of March 2013 at Winter Garden, Florida, USA, after bravely battling breast cancer. Her funeral mass was held on March 15, 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in St. Cloud, Florida. Her final resting place is at Mount Peace Cemetery. Beth, as she is lovingly called, was born on the 13th of November 1963 to Ceferino and Salome Goce. She gained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the Colegio De Sta. Isabel in Naga City, Philippines, and later passed the board exam for nursing given by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC). She worked for the Philippine government as a military nurse earning the rank of captain at a young age. She was assigned in Camp Aguinaldo and other areas in Mindanao where she took great pains to care for wounded soldiers. Later she married Robert Otero and then moved to Florida where they raised Michelle. She worked for Walt Disney World for several years. She is survived by her loving husband Robert, daughter Michelle, mother Salome, sisters Josephine, Ciony & Emily, brothers Jun and Ferdie, and brothers and sister-in-law, nieces and nephews. Beth was a deeply loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Even when she was far away from her ancestral home she never stopped extending her love and concern for those she left behind in the Philippines (particularly her parents). She was always ready to help those who are in dire need. Her affection, compassion and generosity lingers to comfort and inspire those she left behind. We are truly blessed for the privileged of having Beth a huge part of our lives and for this we are eternally grateful to God. She is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family. REST NOW OUR BELOVED BETH. We hope to see you in the next life.
